"When you are able to take the time to plan events where you’re able to gather people around, you were the motivator, the cultivator, the creator of encouraging one another to take time out of their lives to appreciate the little things in life, and more importantly, APPRECIATE ONE ANOTHER. "
Sometimes I lowkey feel like i put a little of my spoken word poetry essence spice flavor into my essays when I write them.
“We need to focus on the reality that it is not earthly treasures that matter, but heavenly ones. Helping those in need; caring for the sick; reaching out to the broken and lonely with God’s message of love and hope. These are God’s commandments for us here on this brief journey called life. These are the “treasures” that last into eternity, make life worth living, and make God’s eternal kingdom visible on planet Earth.”
I tend to work in a cycle of approval and bar raising to the point of exhaustion.
It can happen to all of us. It could be in regard to your job, social status, physique, family ties, or simply creating the coolest Instagram post. Just stop for a second and honestly ask yourself, “Who am I trying to impress?”
Good thing for us, we have already been given the unconditional love of God. When we accept the Lord into our lives, we are promised eternity with him. God isn’t impressed with our “passion” to work harder to achieve results that impress others. He already loves us the way we are. And once we realize that, we don’t have to perform to gain his approval. We can rest and experience his joy.
React: Who are you trying to impress? Break free from the cycle of approval and experience the unconditional love of the Lord.
Pray: Lord, I ask you to keep me grounded in your love. Help me get past the need to impress others, so I can experience lasting joy.

Hope to see you soon.
So I’m doing these extra credit surveys for my psych classes right? And then I came across one that said, “write about your DREAM PROJECT. How you would carry it out and why is it important to you. So…I came up with this…
MY Dream Project would be having kids ages 5-18 all write poems. These poems could be either to just simply express themselves, or better yet sending them out to hospitals, soldiers overseas, or anywhere around the world. I would simply want these kids/adolescents to be able to express themselves through writing. Their poems could be about ANYTHING. They could use these poems to write about their own lives, lives of others that they’ve seen, or even just made up life stories for fun. I would call this project “NO STRESSING, BY EXPRESSING.” Through writing I feel like it could help a lot of people. NOT only for the people writing these poems themselves, but also the people reading it. It can give hope, enjoyment, peace, and relief to a lot of people around the world. It would allow people to open their minds more creatively.
How I would do this project is by going to each school giving them “Writing Poetry 101” workshops. I would teach the different ways you could write a poem (rhyme scheme, subject matter, structure, how to start it, etc.). I would then have each kid write a poem. For anyone that would have trouble, I would help give them ideas and a topic. I would also have exercises such as “write a poem based on this topic”. For example, write a four line poem about your life. I would tell these kids to NOT write their names on the poem for this specific exercise. After everyone is done writing their poem I would gather all of the poems together, put them in a hat, and have each kid one by one go in front of the room and each of them would read ALOUD a poem. It would allow these kids to express themselves without the fear of judgement from the peers on what they wrote about because everyone would equally have the opportunity sharing their poems that are read by one of their peers.
RESOURCES: I’m a psychology major who likes to write poems on my free time. So…to help me out with this project, ideally I would want people with creative writing majors to help with this project. They would help me teach these workshops and supervise these kids writing these poems. Depending on the size of the group of kids that I would be teaching, would determine how many teachers I would need by my side. For example let’s say we’re teaching a group of 20. I would want 4 other teachers by my side, so that for each 5 students there is 1 teacher readily available to assist them. If I could make this possible, I would make these workshops WORLDWIDE. But at first I would start small, and then once the workshops catch popularity then I would expand and then finally once I have enough money and man power I would start up my own company of Teaching Poetry workshops. Once the company is big enough, I would collaborate with world renowned spoken word artists such as J. Ivy, Sarah Kay, etc. And if this company got even bigger I would reach out to hip-hop superstars such as Kanye West, J. Cole, Jay-Z, Eminem, Big Sean, Childish Gambino, Wale, etc. This would then catch the eyes of the little ones because they would be getting help from these role models/idols that they look up to. Showing them that if their idols can believe in them on their creative writing poetry talents, these kids could believe in themselves as well. I would want poetry to connect these people from all around the world to remind everybody that no matter what race, color, sex, age, or sexual orientation that you are, on the outside we all may look different but on the inside WE ARE ALL THE SAME. #Preach

I got a CRUSH on you.
Truth be told…I fight against those feelings because…I don’t want to fck up like I did the last time
Truth be told…I’ve ALWAYS been saying that I’m not ready for a relationship…but IN REALITY.. I feel closer NOW than I EVER did in a LOOOONG TIME. Hopefully it’s with YOU.
Truth be told…I NEVER thought I would CRUSH on a girl YOUNGER than me. But I was WRONG. My roommate warned me about it but I ignored what he said, “Age is NOTHING but a NUMBER.”
Truth be told…people TELL ME, that you have been crushing on me TOO for a while, but…I won’t believe it until I HEAR IT DIRECTLY FROM YOU.
Truth be told…I CAN’T wait to hang out with you
Truth be told…I really have a crush on you and I’m ALREADY AS WEIRD AS IS BUT WHEN I CRUSH…I MEAN REALLY HELLA MADLY CRUSH ON A GIRL….I’M SUPER SAIYAN WEIRDDDDDD. lol
Truth be told…let us see WHERE OUR friendship can GROW to.
